Istanbul is a haven for foodies. I will show you our top 3 restaurant recommendations in Istanbul:
- Meat Moot (smoked meat)
- Firin’ci (kebabs and flat bread)
- Nusr’et (steak)
1) Meat Moot (smoked meat)
First on our list is Meat Moot.
At Meat Moot, the meat is slow-smoked for 16 hours which makes it super tender.
You can choose from various cuts of beef and lamb.
Ordering is done by weight. For example, on the picture you can see 500 grams of beef brisket, which costs about 55 Euros (price as of November 2024).
Everything you see on the table, (see picture) apart from the meat, is complimentary. This includes drinks and dessert.
Note, a service charge of 7% is added on top.
Meat Moot has three locations across Istanbul.
2) Firin’ci (kebabs and flat bread)
Next up is Firin’ci, which is located in the upscale neighborhood of Fişekhane.
Firin’ci specialises in kebabs and flatbread.
Before your main course arrives, you are treated with a selection of complimentary appetisers.
One standout dish is their lahmacun. These are our absolute favourite in all of Istanbul.
The menu offers a wide range of options with prices between 15 to 22 Euros per main course (prices as of November 2024).
3) Nusr’et (steak)
Last but not least is Nusr’et, who is also known as Saltbae.
If you are looking for the best steaks in Istanbul, this is still the place to be.
The menu features a wide variety of premium cuts.
Expect to spend at least 50 Euros per person.
Keep in mind, a 3% service charge is already included in the bill.
