Overview modest fashion shopping in Istanbul
There are three popular modest shopping locations in Istanbul. Two on the European side and one on the Asian side. Each of these places has a unique focus.
- Zeruj Port shopping mall
- Fatih – Fevzipaşa street
- Ümraniye – Alemdağ street
Ümraniye and Fatih are close to the metro stations shown on the map.
In order to reach Zeruj Port shopping mall, take the Marmaray till Kazlıçeşme station and transfer to the bus line MR11.
1) Zeruj Port shopping mall
Let’s begin with Zeruj Port shopping mall on the European side.
Zeruj Port is the world’s first shopping mall dedicated entirely to modest women fashion. There are over 130 shops, most of which are boutique stores.
Zeruj Port offers a wide selection of dresses, hijabs, abayas and everything else needed for a modest wardrobe.
Zeruj Port is very popular with young and middle-aged women.
Prices here tend to be in the mid-to high range.
2) Fatih – Fevzipaşa street
Next is Fevzi Paşa street in the historical peninsula of Fatih.
Fevzi Paşa street is a 1.5 kilometre-long shopping street. It is home to both popular retail brands and numerous boutique stores specialising in modest fashion.
Here, you’ll find dresses, hijabs, abayas, shoes and much more.
Fevzi Paşa street is especially known for evening and wedding dresses. There is a vast selection. Though there is a stronger focus on non-hijabi than hijabi women.
Women of all ages come here for shopping.
Prices are in the mid-to high range.
3) Ümraniye – Alemdağ street
Our third destination is Alemdağ street in Ümraniye on the Asian side.
Alemdağ street offers a mix of well-known retails brands and boutique stores for modest fashion.
This street is frequented by men and women from all ages.
At Alemdağ street, you’ll find dresses, hijabs, abayas and everything else required for modest clothing.
Alemdağ street is also well-known for evening and wedding dresses. But unlike Fatih, it has a stronger focus on hijabi women.
Prices here are generally more affordable. They are in the low to mid-range category.
