Istanbul is very popular for wedding dress shopping.
I will show the main four wedding dress shopping locations in Istanbul and share their respective price ranges.
- Fatih – Fevzipaşa street
- Ümraniye – Alemdağ street
- Kadıköy – Söğütlüçeşme street
- Nişantaşı – Rumeli Street and Abdi Ipekçi Street
Each location has its unique focus.
All these locations are easily accessible by public transportation. Check the closest metro statıons on this map.
Across all locations, custom-made wedding dresses are the favourite among many brides to be. Keep in mind custom-made wedding dress tailoring typically takes a week and involves 2 or 3 fittings in between.
However, if you buy off-the-shelf wedding dresses, necessary alterations take just 1 or 2 days.
1) Fatih – Fevzipaşa street
First on the list is Fevzipaşa street in the historical peninsula of Fatih.
Fevzipaşa street offers an extensive selection of wedding dresses.
Here, you’ll find wedding dresses for both western-style and modest fashion preferences. Though, there is a slight emphasis on Western design.
Fevzipaşa street is especially popular among visitors from the Middle East.
2) Ümraniye – Alemdağ street
Next we head to Alemdağ street in Ümraniye.
Alemdağ street is known for the largest collection of modest fashion wedding dresses in Istanbul.
On a general note. Shopping bridal dresses in Istanbul can be an exhausting experience. It’s not as simple as walking into a store and asking for a price. Salespeople often showcase multiple dresses and encourage to try them on.
To have a better experience, research wedding dress stores online beforehand (via their instagram pages) and visit those that match your preferred style.
3) Kadıköy – Söğütlüçeşme street
Our third stop is Söğütlüçeşme street in Kadıköy.
Söğütlüçeşme street is well-known for its wide selection of Western-style wedding dresses.
4) Nişantaşı – Rumeli Street and Abdi Ipekçi Street
Finally on this list is Nişantaşı, which is focused on haute couture and luxury wedding dresses.
Most shops here are located on Rumeli street. Or they are on Abdi Ipekçi street, which is also home to high-end designer brands.
Nişantaşı is the go-to-place for the rich and famous in Türkiye to shop for extravagant wedding dresses.
Prices wedding dresses
Now, lets have a look at wedding dress prices in Istanbul.
Prices in Fatih, Ümraniye and Kadıköy are mostly in the range of 1.000 to 2.000 Euros. But there are also more expensive ones up to 3.000 Euros.
In Nişantaşı, however, prices for most dresses are in the 3.000 to 5.000 Euro range. But you can also get high-end dresses up to 10.000 Euros or even above.
